Ah, the images.
I live in Oakland, CA. Oakland is a very colorful city, located across the bay from San Francisco. Oakland has had a long history of violence and crime and racism. It has a great many ghettos and rundown neighborhoods littered with condemned buildings that look like they'll fall down if you touch them. You see homeless people and gang members all over the place. You frequently read or hear about shootings and homicides in this city. Depending on where you live, you may even hear the shots yourself. But, interestingly, all of this put together in one city, with its large-scale industrial and commercial, chemical and shipping and other such facilities and plants, the city looks pretty interesting. I casually drive through Oakland all the time, checking out various neighborhoods and industrial complexes. To me, Oakland is is a very beautiful urban city.

Here are some images and videos of my business trip to England. The videos and pictures do not start until my sixth day in the U.K. because I got a major flu virus on my second day in the country.
